How Fun and Realistic is Pro Flight Simulator?
First of All I have to explain something. In my first blog post I wanted to review the best Flight simulator that I’ve played. First I thought it was Flight Pro Sim. So I called my blog Flight Pro Sim review. But while I was making this review a friend of mine told me to try Pro Flight Simulator 2011,which was wayyy better. So I changed to my first blog entry to Flight Pro Simulator Review.
Now, Do you guys want to know why Flight Pro simulator is the best? Please read on….
I’ve played flight sim games since I was a kid, and so I feel pretty confident in saying I’ve seen about everything there is to offer. Hopefully my review will let you know whether or not you should download Flight Pro Sim or if it is a scam.
I’ll try to give you an unbiased look at the pros and cons of the game! Let’s get right to it.

Selection Of Aircraft
The first thing I noticed when I first played Pro Flight Sim was how broad the selection of aircraft was.
With the Pro Flight simulator game, there are over a hundred planes and helicopters to choose from. I was almost overwhelmed with the selection. You can choose from the Wright Brother’s first plane to today’s state-of-the-art military fighter jets. I’m really glad they chose to include so many different aircraft because that makes for a more realistic gaming experience.
Every aircraft handles a little bit differently, and so when you practice taking off, flying, and landing, you’ll definitely notice what other flight simulators like FlightGear are missing. Pro Flight Simulator completely blows them out of the water.
Graphics
The graphics were incredible. The Flight Sim uses OpenGL graphics to provide a smooth experience with the highest detail possible. Don’t think that my computer is the top of the line, though.
My PC is several years old, but the game is designed to run on a variety of systems and only has moderate computer requirements. Charlie Taylor has made sure that you can play this game whether you’re running Windows 98 or Windows 7. I didn’t have any stuttering or glitching at all when I played.
Realism
The real selling point for me in this game was the realism. First off, the game has accurate depictions of day and night. What I mean is that if you are flying in Beijing and it is currently 6:00 am in China, it will be 6:00 am in the game. That’s pretty cool! This gives the user a wide variety of situations to fly in. The game also keeps the weather realistic by fetching current METAR data from the NOAA weather service. The weather in the game will be the same as the weather in the real world. I don’t know of any other game with this feature and it definitely impressed me!
The flight controls in the game were also very realistic. Piloting a 747 feels much different than flying a smaller aircraft. You can also fly helicopters, which was pretty cool. I never knew how careful helicopter pilots had to be when landing their crafts, but this sim realistically showed me that it takes a lot of talent and practice to be a great pilot.
The game features over 20,000 real world airports in the full scenery set, and you can fly anywhere in the world. You can even fly over your house if you’d like! The runways are sloped, like in real life, and that gave me a more true-to-life experience when taking off or landing planes. The controls are realistic, too. I could go on about the realism forever, but you’ll have to download the free Pro Flight simulator download and try it out for yourself!
Cost
Here’s the real question people have: is Flight Pro Sim worth the cost to download it? The game has tons of features (so far, I’ve only mentioned a few), and when you buy the game, you get access to unlimited free updates and upgrades for life. That means you can always play the latest releases for free once you buy the game. The game also has a great multiplayer mode where you can meet up with people over Google Maps, which I thought was pretty cool. I found some people playing in my area, and now we fly together frequently (attempting those mid-air refuels with other players is a lot of fun).
Pro Flight Simulator offers a 60 day trial and a no hassle money-back guarantee. If you buy the game and don’t like it, you can simply return it for a prompt and courteous refund for 100% of the game’s purchase price. When I first saw that, I thought I would try the game and just return it after a week, but I liked it so much, I ended up keeping it.
Problems
The only problem I ran in to was that there was almost too much of a selection at first. Like I said, a lot of flight sims only offer a few aircraft to choose from, so I was surprised when I had to choose from over a hundred different planes and helicopters. Is too much of a selection really a problem, though?
Something else was the degree of difficulty. This flight sim is realistic, which means that the planes in the game handle like they would in the real world. You can’t just fly carelessly like you can in some other flight simulators, but I actually enjoyed that. If you’re looking for something that’s overly easy or simple, you might want to be aware of these things.
Conclusion
Overall, my review of Flight Pro Sim (Pro Flight SIM) is that the game is a lot of fun, very realistic, and worth the download. Charlie Taylor has done a great job in recreating planes like the Wright Brothers flyer and modern aircraft. I’d say to download Pro flight Simulator today!
